An exciting full renovation project on a challenging sloping site. Main challenge in a renovation project is how we could accommodate client’s needs, but at the same time we need to sustain the existing structure. In order to reduce the amount of works and of course to save cost. In this project, we managed to sustain every part of existing structure (column, beam, plate) of half front existing building. With some walls adaptation in order to fulfil client’s needs of a more comfortable new layout. The challenge of existing sloping site was resolved with a beautiful split level interior. Where different area zones could be distinguished without walls or partitions. The goal was to create a comfortable house for small family, where each room can be able to connect with one another. Double ceiling height of dining & pantry area was able to provide a clear vista between master bedroom, home office, living room, kids bedroom and dining area itself. With this connectivity, the feeling of togetherness remain maintained even when each family member are doing different activities in different rooms. Since each of them will be able to see and listen to one another. Maximizing the number of openings such as glass doors, windows and skylight in order to escalate the amount of natural light and air ventilation to enter the building. White, grey and natural wood are dominant colour to be implemented. With some fresh yellow as accent. Natural colours are chosen in order to confirm the modern tropical concept of the building.
