Description

The name Cube House is inspired by the facade's cube shape as its fundamental form. This residence has a land area of 300m² and a building area of 480m². In accordance with the modern design concept, which often features clean lines and simple geometry, most of this house uses wooden panels as the main material for both the facade and the interior. The minimalist look with neutral colors such as white, gray, and brown also reinforces the building's theme. Our project this time is a renovation project of an existing house by changing the facade and layout due to the house's age and the outdated model. The changes made are not extensive; we have retained most of the old structures and electrical utilities. The first floor also features an expanded family room as a central gathering place close to the dining area and kitchen, directly facing the swimming pool. The office space is also located near the prayer table with a glass wall to save space and cover the structural columns in the middle of the room. The second floor functions as a more private area, consisting of two children's bedrooms and one guest bedroom, as well as a more private family room.
